General Manager's Report
Marc Francis

The Colorado Comets lost 3-2 in overtime to the Utah Blitzz, a professional team from Salt Lake City on Friday, April 28. After a scoreless first half the Blitzz picked up the tempo and created several chances before finally scoring in the 68th minute. Utah added a second two minutes later when the Comets defense failed to clear the ball following a goalmouth scramble. The Comets were able to reorganize and mount several attacks before Mark Perdew finally scored with a well placed shot in the 81st minute, assisted by Chris Edwinson. The Comets pressured for the equalizer and were rewarded in the 89th minute when Mazen Kayali headed the ball back across the face of the goal to Rich Hansen who volleyed the ball into the back of the net. The Comets had several chances to win the match in the first half of overtime but then tired badly and let the Blitzz secure the win in the 107th minute with a well taken goal. Comets lineup - Cantrell, Diedrich, Fachini, Hansen, Ward (Pinto - 63rd min), Edwinson, Monroe (Brodsky - 72nd min), Maher Kayali, Kris Stumpf (Mazen Kayali - 79th min), Concha (Huber - 63rd min), Sean Adams (Perdew 52nd min). Man of the match was Rich Hansen while Mazen Kayali and Mark Perdew also performed well.
