The Comets have signed goalkeeper Richard Sletvold from Hershey Wildcats of the A League.
Richard is returning to the area where he played college ball for University of Denver.
Coach Marc Francis said "we are very excited to have a player of the quality of Ritchie as part of our organization, but I don't know how long we will be able to hold onto him before he is picked up by another A League team".
The Comets also have Bernard Brodigan, a defender who previously played for J League team Misawa Lions (Japan), trialing with the team.
"Bernard hasn't played much outdoor in the past year, but if we can get him match fit and up to speed he will be a valuable addition to the team" said coach Francis.
