General Manager's Report
Marc Francis

SUN, MAY 14 (Wembley Park) - The Colorado Comets narrowly defeated the Wichita Jets 2-1 in a lackluster affair. The Jets opened the score in the 2nd minute with a well taken goal. The Comets then gained control of the game and equalized in the 19th minute when Kris Stumpf scored after a great pass from Sean Adams. Chris Edwinson scored from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute after Concha had been brought down in the penalty area. The Comets dominated the remainder of the half but were unable to add to their score. The Comets created several opportunities early in the second half but were unable to capitalize. Wichita created several great chances in the last 15 minutes of the game but were denied by some great goalkeeping by Chris McClellan. Best player for the Comets was McClellan who was the only bright spot in a fairly dismal performance. Comets lineup - McCellan, Diedrich, Fachini, Ward, Edwinson, Maher Kayali (Adams 17th min (Smith 71st min)) Monroe, Pinto (Mazen Kayali - 55th min) Stumpf, Brodsky (Fischer - 67th min), Concha (Francis 77th min).
