COLORADO COMETS vs OKLAHOMA CITY WARRIORS
In their Home Opener, the Colorado Comets will host their old rival, the Oklahoma City Warriors. Mike Cook (Cooky), star of the Warriors, returns to Colorado to play against his former team, the Colorado Comets, and friends: Chino Melendez, and Mark Perdew.
Colorado's Chino Melendez, the former USISL MVP, and Oklahoma City's Mike Cook, were both members of the USISL Allstar Team, that toured the former Soviet Union in 1990. Mike Cook later joined the Comets for the following season.
The main rivalry between the Comets and the Warriors took place when the two teams met in the USISL Championship Game in Oklahome City in 1991. The Colorado Comets won the USISL Indoor Title, 5-4, after trailing 0-4 at the half.
