The game started with both team feeling out the other, until the 12th minute, when Colorado Comets' Christian Broadhurst scored the first goal assisted by Nelson Pinto. Brian Mullen, the Comets' most recent recruit, scored in the 25th minute on an assist from Dan Huber. Both goals were scored because of errors by Sioux City's goalkeeper, who mistimed his rushing the attacker, who ran around him and scored in the open net.
Colorado's Rafael Amaya played as sweeper in this game, replacing Dave Adams, who was injured in Wednesday night's game in Colorado Springs vs the Stampede.
In the 44th minute, Nelson Pinto passed the ball to Maher Kayali, who chipped the ball over a rushing Sioux City goalkeeper, and into the net. At the end of the first half, the score was Colorado Comets 3 Sioux City Breeze 0.
In the second half, in the 47th minute, the referee called a Penalty Kick against Sioux City, for tripping in the box. Comets' Nelson Pinto scored, increasing Colorado's lead to 4-0. In the 58th minute, Sioux City's Sergio Lima's persistent attempts, finally struck gold, when he scored, reducing Colorado's lead to 4-1.
In the 85th minute, Comets forward, Dan Huber scored, assisted by Nelson Pinto, making the Final Score 5-1 in favor of the Colorado Comets.
