As of June 3rd, Marc Francis is stepping down as head coach of the Comets. This will enable him to concentrate on his position as General Manager of the Comets and Wembley Soccer USA. Filling the position of head coach through the remainder of the season will be Merv Johnson, the current assistant coach for the Comets. Merv comes with a long history of coaching experience as well as professionally playing experience here in the United States. Merv, originally from Middlesborough, England, has a British and European coaching license and is the current goalkeeper coach at Denver University.
