In their previous encounter in Colorado Springs the Colorado Comets won 4 - 0.

This is the second of 4 scheduled games. The The Comets lead the Central Divsion with 9 wins, 3 losses, and 27 points. The Stampede are currently in 5th place with 4 wins, 5 losses and 10 points.

Stampede's Sam Ayorinde took a free kick on the Comets goal. It was a rocket on the mark but was saved by Comets goalkeeper, Justin Cantrell.

Apparently, the Colorado Springs Stampede have signed on two Nigerian players, who come via England.

The Comets, in the first 25 minutes were within scoring distance in the stampede goal box a minimum of 6 times, came out empty. They either shot wide or to the goalkeeper.

Shot by Danny Huber of the Comets, in the 39th hit the post. The Comets are outplaying the Stampede, but, as yet, cannot buy a goal.

The score remains 0 - 0 at the end of the 1st half.

The second half started with the Stampede making a push towards the Comets goal, and also failed to score. With less than 30 minutes left in the game, the Stampede goalkeeper, Greg Meyer, made 3 back to back saves.

Own goal by the Stampede's Paul Aigbogun in the 73rd minute, give the Colorado Comets the lead, 1 - 0.

In the 76th minute, Matt Harrell scored on a pass from Kevin Horn.

The Colorado Comets now lead 2 - 0.

In the 82nd minute, Comets GK Justin Cantrell, made a great save stopping Stampede player, Sam Ayorinde from scoring. The score remains 2 - 0 in favor of the Comets.

At the end of the game, the final score was:

The Comets continue to lead the USISL/PDL Central Division with 10 wins, 3 losses, and 30 points.
