In the 72nd minute, Ascent GoalKeeper tripped #16 Guillermo Concho, resulting in a Penalty Kick by the Comets. #10 Chris Edwinson scored a well placed goal breaking the scoreless tie, and giving the Colorado Comets a 1-0 lead.
In the 79th minute, Ascent GoalKeeper Richie Cullens made a great save. Cullens has made the difference to the Ascent team. He has prevented many goals by the Comets, keeping Ascent in the game.
