The Rapids 1996 Rookie of the Year, the younger Henderson scored his first goal of the season at Mile High Stadium against Kansas City on August 7 -- Henderson scored the goal early in just his second of 11 starts during the 1996 season ... Signed by the Rapids as their 20th player July 9 ... The younger brother of Chris Henderson, Sean is also a product of Cascade High School in Everett, Wash., and the vaunted UCLA soccer program ... Graduated from UCLA in 1994 and spent the last two years in the German Third Division with Tus Celle, scoring six goals and nearly leading his team to promotion to the Second Division (Tus Celle finished second) ... During his years as a Bruin, Sean earned all-league and all-Far West honors his junior and senior years before becoming an Honorable Mention All-American as a senior ... The 6-foot, 160-pound midfielder can play both outside wing and inside defense in the midfield ... Was a two-time All-American in high school, sharing two state championships with his brother, Chris, and reaching the final the other two years.
