DENVER (Tuesday, August 6, 2002) - The Colorado Rapids will host approximately 900 Girl Scouts for a campout after Saturday's game against the Columbus Crew. The sleepover will be held on the Club Level of INVESCO Field and begins immediately following the conclusion of the game. Each Scout has purchased a ticket for $12, which includes a ticket to the Crew match, a reserved spot for the campout, breakfast from McDonalds the next morning, and camping goodies from Galyan's.
After the scouts enjoy some Major League Soccer action, they will be able to get settled into the cozy confines of INVESCO Field as registration begins immediately after the conclusion of the game. Campout entertainment includes a full-sized movie screen that will display a movie as well as goodies from Galyan's. On Sunday morning, the Scouts will be treated to breakfast, compliments of McDonalds.

In the spirit of equal opportunity, the boys will have their turn to campout at INVESCO Field as the Colorado Rapids will host the second annual Boy Scout night after the next Rapids home game * a late-season conference battle versus the San Jose Earthquakes on August 24.
