COLORADO RAPIDS HOME GAMES TO AGAIN BE HEARD IN SPANISH ON KMXA 1090 AM

DENVER (Monday, March 2,1998) - The Colorado Rapids and KMXA 1090- AM have reached a two-year agreement where all Rapids home games will be carried on KMXA beginning with the 1998 Major League Soccer season.

The deal calls for the carriage of all 16 regular-season home games, as well as the option to expand the coverage to road, exhibition and playoff games. KMXA also carried every Rapids game at Mile High Stadium in 1997.

Rapids general manager Dan Counce said the multi-year deal continues the Rapids' commitment to the Hispanic community.

"KMXA is a great vehicle to make sure all of the Spanish-speaking community in Colorado have the chance to follow us on the radio. We look at this deal as a great way for us to continue to grow our relationship with the wide Hispanic market in Colorado,"said Counce.

The Colorado Rapids and Major League Soccer are entering their third year in existence. The Rapids, who play in the Westem Conference of the twelve-team league, won the 1997 Westem Conference Championship and enjoyed an 18% increase in attendance over year one.
