RADIO: KKFN 950-AM, KMXA 1090-AM

RAPIDS OFFENSE ON FIRE:

Colorado's offense exploded for three goals in the final sixteen minutes Sunday as the Rapids defeated the Tampa Bay Mutiny 3-0 at Mile High Stadium. Paul Bravo and Wolde Harris each recorded their second goal of the season, while Brazilian midfielder Marquinho scored his first-ever MLS goal. Marquinho also assisted on both of the other goals.

The win marked the second consecutive game where Colorado had scored three times, after the Rapids found the net three times one week earlier in a shootout loss to D.C. United.

INSTANT OFFENSE, AND WE MEAN INSTANT:

Colorado's Jamaican forward Wolde Harris has made the most of his limited minutes this season. Harris has played only nineteen minutes over two appearances, but has scored two goals and assisted on another in that short period of time.

A RECIPE FOR SECOND PLACE:

If Colorado defeats Chicago in regulation, the MetroStars knock off San Jose and the Burn beats the Wizards in a shootout, that would leave Colorado alone in second place with seven points.

BALBOA TO AUSTRIA:

Immediately following Sunday's win, Marcelo Balboa departed for Austria, to join the U.S. National Team for a Wednesday friendly against Austria in Vienna. The game will be televised in Colorado on Fox Sports Rocky Mountain on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. MST.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAPTAIN:

Rapids captain Steve Trittschuh will celebrate his 33rd birthday on Friday, April 24. "Tritt" is Colorado's oldest player.
