PAUL BRAVO NAMED MLS PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Rapids forward Paul Bravo was named MLS Fujifilm Player of the Week following his one-goal, two-assist performance in Colorado's 5-4 shootout win over the Chicago Fire. Bravo also scored the game-winning goal in the shootout.

On the season, Bravo is fourth in the league in scoring with ten points on three goals and four assists.

RAPIDS SET SCORING RECORD:

Following the four-goal outburst on Saturday, the Rapids have now scored ten goals over their last three games, setting a team record for the most goals over a three-game stretch. The previous record was eight goals over three games, a mark the Rapids reached on three separate occasions.

RAPIDS FACE AIR FORCE WEDNESDAY:

Colorado will play an exhibition match against Air Force on Wednesday, April 29 at 4:00 p.m. at Cadet Soccer Stadium. This is the third-annual match between the teams.

MIAMI GAME IS ALSO U.S. OPEN CUP MATCH:

Saturday's game at Miami will double as a U.S. Open Cup match, with the winner of the game advancing in the tournament. Colorado crashed out of the tournament last season when they were defeated by the USISL Chicago Stingers.

A FAMILIAR BALD HEAD:

Saturday's match will also be the first time Colorado has faced Matt Kmosko since the defender was selected in the expansion draft by the Fusion.

RAPID FIRE: COLORADO RAPIDS NEWS AND NOTES

* Saturday will also mark a reunion of the 1997 Alianza Lima club that won the Peruvian championship. Colorado's Waldir and Marquinho, along with the Fusion's Jerry Tamashiro, were all members of that championship club.
* Four of the Rapids' six games this season have not been settled in 90 minutes, and Colorado has gone 2-2 in the shootouts.
* Waldir recorded his first MLS multi-goal game Saturday and moved into a tie for 12th place on the MLS points leader board with seven (three goals, one assist).

* Miami fell to 3-4 (5 points) with a 3-0 loss to New England on Saturday. The expansion Fusion have allowed 14 goals, while scoring only four times.
* The Los Angeles Galaxy extended its lead in the Western Conference standings with 5-1 win over the Mutiny Saturday. The undefeated Galaxy now has 16 points from six matches.
* D.C. United defeated the Columbus Crew 2-1 in a shootout on Sunday in a possible Eastern Conference Finals preview. United's Jaime Moreno sent the game to the shootout with a goal in the 89th minute.

INJURY UPDATE:

* JOEY DIGIAMARINO will miss Saturday's game with a concussion suffered in an April 21 exhibition match. He is out 10-14 days from the day of the injury.
* MARQUIS WHITE is also battling a groin strain, and is questionable for Saturday.
