WHAT: The Colorado Rapids travel to Los Angeles to face the undefeated (7-0) Los Angeles Galaxy at the Rose Bowl on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. MST.
Wednesday will mark the second meeting between the Rapids (3-4) and Los Angeles, after the Galaxy spoiled the Rapids' home opener with a 1-0 win on April 4 at Mile High.
DEJA-VU? The Galaxy enter the game winners of their last 13 regular season games, dating back to last season, and setting the MLS record. The previous MLS record was held by the Galaxy, a 12-game streak from 4/13/96-6/26/96.
The team that broke the Galaxy's streak in 1996? The Colorado Rapids, with a 2-1 win on June 30, 1996, at Mile High Stadium.
LAST TIME OUT: Colorado comes off a 3-2 loss in Miami Saturday night that saw the Rapids nearly rally from a 3-0 deficit, scoring twice late.
Los Angeles defeated the Kansas City Wizards 2-0 in Kansas City last Wednesday on goals from Mauricio Cienfuegos and Ezra Hendrickson.
LEADING IN L.A.: Los Angeles is led by a speedy front line featuring Cobi Jones and Welton, who are 1-2 in the league in points with 17 and 13, respectively.
VERMES OUT: Rapids defender Peter Vermes will miss Wednesday's game while serving a one-game suspension that automatically complemented a red card he received in the loss to Miami. Vermes was ejected in the 37th minute after picking up his second yellow card caution of the night.

NEXT GAME: The Rapids return home to Mile High Stadium to host the San Jose Clash on Saturday night, May 9, at 7:00 p.m. The game will serve as Marcelo Balboa's final match with the Rapids before he leaves to join the U.S. World Cup team.
The Rapids will give away a trip Saturday to a randomly-selected fan at the game to watch the U.S. World Cup team play Germany in Paris this summer.
