RAPID FIRE: COLORADO RAPIDS NEWS AND NOTES

* Colorado is off to its worst start in franchise history after ten games at 3-7. Colorado was 4-6 after ten games in both 1996 and 1997.

* Goalkeeper Paul Grafer's career record fell to 1-10 (0-3 this season).

* Saturday's 2-1 loss marked the first time since April 4 that Colorado had not scored more than one goal, ending a string of six straight games with at least two goals in regulation.

* Wolde Harris' goal now gives Colorado three players with five goals apiece (Waldir and Paul Bravo).

* After firing four shots on Saturday and putting one on goal, Paul Bravo retained his lead-league in both shots (39) and shots on goal (17).

* Eight of Colorado's ten games this season have been decided by one goal in regulation, or in a shootout, with the Rapids holding a 2-6 record in those games (0-4 in one-goal regulation games, 2-2 in shootout games).

* Midfielder Chris Henderson did not start Saturday after his wife, Dee, gave birth to the couple's first child, son Aidan Christopher (5 lb., 9.9 oz, 19 1/2 inches). Chris did not travel with the team Friday to Dallas after Dee went into labor early Friday morning. Dee delivered at 4:52 MST on Friday. Henderson was then scheduled to catch a flight to Dallas on Saturday, but his first flight was cancelled, and Chris finally arrived at the Cotton Bowl less than an hour before kick-off. Henderson did come off the bench in the 55th minute, and assisted on the Rapids' lone goal.

* Colorado's starting lineup was without regulars Adrian Paz (suspended for a yellow card in three consecutive matches), Chris Martinez (strained right hamstring), Chris Henderson (birth of his first child) and Marcelo Balboa (World Cup).

INJURY UPDATE:

CHRIS MARTINEZ is questionable with a strained right hamstring.
