RAPIDS LOOK FOR HOME-COOKED REMEDY:

The Rapids, losers of their last five games, enter a stretch where they will play six of their next seven games at Mile High Stadium, beginning Thursday against Miami and Sunday against Kansas City. Colorado is 2-2 at home, but 1-6 away from Mile High.

FAN-FAVORITE KMOSKO RETURNS THURSDAY:

Former Colorado Rapids standout Matt Kmosko returns to Mile High Stadium for the first time on Thursday, since being selected by the expansion Miami Fusion in the 1998 MLS Expansion Draft in the off-season. Kmosko, known for his bald head and his bone-jarring tackles, led the Rapids in minutes played in 1996 and 1997, and was a favorite of the Mile High faithful.

STEPPING UP ON NATIONAL TV:

The Rapids, who have yet to lose in regulation this season on national television, play Miami Thursday in a game carried live nationally on ESPN2. This will be the third time this season the Rapids will play on national TV, after letting DC United escape with a 4-3 shootout win on 4/11 on ESPN, and then shutting out Tampa Bay 3-0 on 4/19 in Denver on Univision.

COLORADORAPIDS.COM HEATING UP:

In only its second week in existence, the Rapids official website at www.coloradorapids.com received over 100,000 hits. The site was recently described as a "highly interactive page, geared towards kids and serious fans, with enough gimmick and glitz to draw the casual observer" by the Rocky Mountain News, in a review that called the site "flourishing."

YOUNG MAN, ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?

Following the hugely successful September, 1997 double-header that featured a Rapids win followed by a concert from "The Monkees" before nearly 27,000 at Mile High, the Rapids will present a post-game concert from "The Village People" following the game against San Jose next Saturday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m. at Mile High.

INJURY UPDATE:

CHRIS MARTINEZ is questionable with a strained right hamstring.
