SECOND STRAIGHT CONFERENCE WIN PUTS RAPIDS NEAR PLAYOFF BERTH:

With four games to play in the regular season, Colorado currently holds the third of four Western Conference post-season spots.

The Rapids clinch a playoff spot with any combination of seven points gained by themselves and lost by Kansas City. Kansas City has three games remaining.

* If teams tie in the standings, the tie-breaker first goes to head-to-head results between the teams in 1998, then to goal differential for the entire season.

* Therefore, unless Colorado (-10) can surpass the goal differential of Kansas City (-1) before the season ends, the Rapids would lose tie-breakers with both Kansas City (on goal differential) and Dallas (on head-to-head).

TIEBREAKER 1: 1998 HEAD-TO-HEAD

DALLAS 37	51	-14
SAN JOSE	42	59	-17

BRAVO OUT FOR SUNDAY'S GAME AT CHICAGO:

Rapids forward Paul Bravo will miss Sunday's game at Chicago, as he must serve a one-game suspension for yellow-card accumulation over the season. Rapids coach Glenn "Mooch" Myernick will be with out the services of one of his players, due to yellow-card point accumulation or red-card suspension, for the fifth straight game.

WOLDE HARRIS TIES SINGLE-SEASON SCORING MARK:

With his two-goal performance in last Wednesday's win over Kansas City, Rapids forward Wolde Harris, despite playing most of the season as a substitute, tied the Rapids single-season mark of eleven goals, set by Jean Harbor in 1996.

Harris, who has scored eight of his eleven goals off the bench, has now scored 11 goals in 973 minutes (1 goal per 88.5 minutes).

TEAM BREAKS SINGLE-SEASON TOTAL GOAL RECORD:

With the 3-2 win over the Wizards last Wednesday, Colorado ran its goal total on the season to 52, breaking the club record of 50 set in 1997.

RAPIDS NEAR SEASON WINS, POINTS RECORDS:

With 13 wins and 35 points, Colorado is nearing its single-season marks for most wins (14) and most points (38). Both were set in 1997, when the Rapids finished 14-18 before making their memorable playoff run.
