
Ron Loos, a Colorado referee for over 22 years, passed away August 10, 2002, after taking a physical fitness test.
Ron was a long time fixture in Colorado's soccer referee program. He was officially 1st registered in 1980 as a grade 08. He was currently a grade 05 State Referee. During his career, Ron officiated hundreds of games in Colorado and at various tournaments throught the Western region. Among his accomplishments were several State High School finals, several State Cup finals, several Regional finals, Division I College matches, and several pro matches.
Ron's ability is reflected in the type of games he was assigned over his career.
Ron is survived by a wonderful wife, Charlotte (Chuck), 3 grown children, and 1 grandchild. The soccer community will sorely miss Ron's smiling face and his wonderful personality.
