U.S. NATIONAL TEAM: With 73 international appearances for the U.S. National Team, Henderson currently ranks seventh on the team's all-time appearance list ... The youngest player to make the 1990 World Cup team at only 19, Henderson is one of only two players in USA history to have played for every U.S. National Team from youth to senior level (the other is New England's Mike Burns) ... Henderson's most successful season came in 1993 when he led the USA in starts with 26 and was fourth in minutes played with 1,969 ... In 1992 he split time with the U.S. Olympic Team, playing in all of its 1992 Olympic qualifying matches before being named to the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team ... Helped lead the U.S. National Youth team to a fourth-place finish in the 1989 Youth World Cup in Saudi Arabia.

PRO OUTDOOR CAREER: Henderson spent the 1994-95 seasons with Germany's second division team, FSV Frankfurt, where he played in the center midfield and outside midfield positions ... With Frankfurt he scored eight goals ... After playing in Germany, he spent the winter 1995 season with Norway's first division team, Stabeck ... In 1989 Henderson played with the Western Soccer League's Seattle Storm, where he earned Rookie of the Year and first-team All-Star honors.

COLLEGE CAREER: Henderson signed a contract with the U.S. National Team in 1991, forgoing his final two years at UCLA He helped UCLA to the 1990 NCAA championship ... In 1989, he was named to the Soccer America All-Freshman team ... Ranked second on his team with 66 shots ... Handed out three assists in a 7-0 victory over UC Irvine, also in his freshman year.

PERSONAL: Henderson was born in Edmonds, Wash., and began playing soccer at age 5 ... He attended high school at Cascade, where he was coached by his father as a senior ... Father Richard also played professional baseball as a catcher for the Tacoma minor league team ... Earned 1989 Gatorade National Player of the Year honors as well as two-year Parade All-American honors ... Henderson's hobbies include drawing, painting, reading, and spending time with his two brothers, Pat and Sean.
