RAPIDS HOME TO FACE THE GALAXY - KICKOFF AT 2:00 P.M.;
SPENCER HOPES TO RETURN TO PITCH FOR RE-MATCH

RAPIDS TAKE ON THE GALAXY IN THE SECOND MATCH OF HOME AND HOME SERIES:

The Colorado Rapids return to Denver in a re-match with the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday, April 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. (MT) and will be on national television (Telemundo).

The Rapids (0-2-1) will be looking to rebound from a 1-0 defeat at Los Angeles last Saturday and will also be looking to earn their first win of the 2001 season.

The Galaxy are winless on the road, losing their only match to the Kansas City Wizards on April 14th, 2-1.

RAPIDS FACE AIR FORCE ACADEMY SOCCER TEAM IN EXHIBITION MATCH TODAY:

The Rapids travel to Colorado Springs to face the Air Force Academy Falcons in a soccer exhibition today. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Cadet Soccer Stadium.

The exhibition marks the sixth-annual match-up between the two teams. The Rapids lead the series with a record of 4-0-1. The Rapids won last season against the cadets 2-1 and will use the exhibition as a warm-up for this Saturday's league match against the Los Angeles Galaxy (2:00 p.m. kickoff) at Mile High Stadium.

SPENCER LOOKS TO RETURN TO THE FIELD AFTER SITTING WITH RIGHT CALF STRAIN:

Rapids forward John Spencer looks to return to the first 11 after sitting out last Saturday's match against the Los Angles Galaxy. Spencer's veteran presence on the field was missed (1 goal, 1 assist in first two games) in what was to be his third start for the team. Spencer strained his right calf in training last Friday and was a last-minute scratch from the starting lineup.

ROBIN FRASER BEGINS TRAINING WITH TEAM, EXPECTED TO RETURN IN TWO WEEKS:

Rapids defender Robin Fraser is expected to train with the team this week. His return to the starting lineup is still uncertain.

Fraser is recovering from a groin injury similar to the one suffered by captain Marcelo Balboa last season.

COLORADO NATIVE BRIAN MULLAN RETURNS HOME ON OPPOSING SIDE OF THE PITCH:

Mullan, who hails from Littleton, CO, returns home in potentially his second professional appearance. Mullan, the Galaxy's 2001 first round draft choice (ninth overall) out of Creighton, made his MLS debut with a start this past weekend against the Rapids.

Mullan, who will have a chance to play before family and friends this Saturday at Mile High Stadium, had several scoring opportunities in last week's game.
