NEWS RELEASE

DENVER (Wednesday, June 19, 2002) - The Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer will host a World Cup viewing party at INVESCO Field on the West Side Club Level this Friday, June 21 to watch as the United States Men's National Team takes on Germany at 5:25 a.m., live from Ulsan, Korea on ESPN. A 2-0 victory over Mexico on Monday helped Team USA equal its best ever performance at a World Cup, advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time since 1930.
Breakfast concessions such as pastries, fruit, juice and coffee will be available for purchase. Fans should park in Lot D, located on the southwest side of the stadium. Entering the club level via Gate 2, partygoers are encouraged to arrive early as space and seating will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.
The WB2 will go live from the event and there will be a raffle of several soccer items with proceeds going to support the Colorado Rapids Community Care Foundation.
Major League Soccer venues across the U.S. will be hosting similar parties as Team USA seeks to reach unchartered World Cup territory in its biggest game ever.
