RAPIDS WAIVE ANDREW MITTENDORF AND BOBBY MEYER

DENVER (Thursday, March 25, 1999) - The Colorado Rapids today waived forward Andrew Mittendorf and defender Bobby Meyer.

Mittendorf was selected in the first round of the 1999 MLS College Entry Draft out of Lehigh University.

Meyer was selected in the third round of the 1999 MLS College Entry Draft out of Dartmouth.

Neither player played in the Colorado Rapids' season-opening loss at Los Angeles last Saturday.

Colorado's current roster now stands at 20 players, the league-imposed limit that teams must be down to by April 1.

Colorado travels to face the San Jose Clash this Saturday, March 27, at Spartan Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. (MT), with a live telecast by Fox Sports Rocky Mountain and a Spanish radio broadcast by KMXA 1090-AM.
