RAPIDS DROP SECOND STRAIGHT SHOOT-OUT DECISION:

Colorado has opened the 1999 season with back-to-back shoot-out losses on the road following Saturday's loss in San Jose. Paul Bravo staked the visitors to a 2-0 lead, before the Clash rallied with two second-half goals to send the game to a shoot-out. The teams were tied at 3-3 after the five allotted shoot-out attempts, sending the contest to a sudden-death format. Colorado's Peter Vermes sent his attempt wide, leaving San Jose's Raul Diaz Arce to convert and send Colorado home pointless after two games.

UP NEXT: THIS WEEK OFF -- HOME OPENER SET FOR APRIL 10:

Colorado travels to San Jose to face the Clash at Spartan Stadium on Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. (MT). The game will be carried live on Fox Sports Rocky Mountain, and aired in Spanish on the radio on KMXA 1090-AM.

BRAVO CONTINUES TO HAUNT FORMER TEAM:

Paul Bravo's two goals against San Jose gives him six goals in nine games since the 1997 trade that brought him to the Rapids from the Clash. Bravo has now recorded a point in the last six games for Colorado against San Jose.

RAPIDS 0-2 FOR FIRST TIME IN TEAM HISTORY:

Despite both games ending in ties after 90 minutes, by virtue of losing both shoot-outs, Colorado is now 0-2 for the first time in team history. The Rapids had opened each of the past three seasons with 1-1 records after two contests.

RAPIDS TO HOST EASTER EGG HUNT SUNDAY AT MILE HIGH STADIUM :
