DENVER (May 21, 1996) -- Colorado's Major League Soccer fans won't be in the dark this Saturday, when the Colorado Rapids return to the airwaves live on Prime Sports. Colorado will take on the New England Revolution at Foxboro Stadium -- Prime will begin its broadcast coverage at 5:30 p.m. MDT. The Rapids signed a multi-game package with Prime Sports -- the official home team sports carrier for the Colorado Front Range -- just prior to its first-ever season.
The next Rapids' matchup on Prime Sports will be June 19, when the team travels to Columbus to take on the Crew -- kickoff is at 5:30 p.m. MDT.
The Rapids are currently in third place in the Western Conference of MLS with a 3-4 record. New England sits in third place in the Eastem Conference with seven points and a 3-3 record.
The game is the third of a three-game road trip for the Rapids, a series which they have split so far. The Rapids fell to the NY/NJ MetroStars last week, 3-O, and then came from two goals down to knock off the Columbus Crew at Ohio Stadium on Sunday, 4-2.
The New England matchup will be the last on the road for a while for Coach Bob Houghton's squad, as they return the following week to host the Dallas Burn on May 29 (7 p.m.) and the Washington D.C. United on June 2 (2 p.m.). For tickets call the Rapids' ticket hotline at 299-1599, or Ticketmaster at 830-TIXS.
