Open tryouts were held Nov. 18 & 19, 1995, at Cherry Creek Sports Complex. Dean Linke, Vice President of Operations was very pleased with the turnout... "190 athletes attended...that's 90 more than we expected..."

Conducting the MLS Open Tryouts was Dave Dir, assisted by Kelvin Norman, Gordy Miller, Tim Schulz, Mike Haas, John Welch, and Dave Schaeffer.

Linke noted that "the event was very well organized with good coaches and motivated players...3 players were selected and 5 more could be invited to the MLS player combine..."
