The first 5 or 10 minutes of the game showed some life in the Colorado Rapids. Scott Benedetti blasted a long, hard bending shot on goal, but hit the cross-bar.
In the 14th minute, Donadoni took a free kick from around 30 yards out. The ball flew over everyone, including Rapids' Goalkeeper, Woods, and dropped in the top left hand corner of the goal.
Before halftime, Metrostars' #19, Miles Joseph, chipped the ball over Chris Woods' head and into the net for their second goal.
The game ended with the Metrostars defeating the Colorado Rapids 2-0.
Coach Houghton's "flat 4" defense continues to cost the Rapids games...when an attacker beats one, he beats all four, and is on a one-to-one with the goalkeeper. The system is just not working! The fans are frustrated.
The Colorado Rapids' record is now 10 wins and 16 losses.
