Tonight, Western Division leaders, the Kansas City Wizards, with a record of 5 wins and 1 tie (16 points) are hosted by the Colorado Rapids, with a record of 3 wins and 3 losses (9 points).

3 minutes into the game, KC's Alex Bunbury, juggled the ball past the Rapids' defender, and shot on goal, missing the right post by inches.

The injured Rapids field marshall, Anders Limpar's presence is sorely missed. He is out and on the Injured Reserve list with teammates Ross Paule and Wes Hart.

Kansas City's Head Coach, Bob Gansler, is a former USA Men's National Team Coach.

Colorado Rapids Head Coach is Glenn Mooch Myernick, one of USA's rising coaches.

In the 35th minute, Colorado's Junior Agogo's very hard shot was deflected by KC Goalkeeper, Tony Meola.

In the 37th minute, KC's Chris Klein's shot on goal was deflected off a Rapids player, and ended in the back of Colorado's net.

Score is now:
KC Wizards 2 Colorado Rapids 0

In the second half, Kansas City Wizards continue to dominate Colorado, and in the 50th minute, Preki scored, unassisted.

KC leads 3-0.

In the 58th minute, KC's Matt McKeon scored, after winning the ball at midfield, and taking it all the way in to score.

KC leads 4-0.

The Colorado Rapids have had to play without key players and with injured players. Coach Myernick has been forced to field a different lineup every game. It is a credit to his ability to earn a 3 win 3 loss record up to this game. If he ever manages to field his true starting eleven, the Colorado Rapids would be hard to beat.

KC Goalkeeper, Tony Meola continues to thwartall of the Colorado Rapids attempts to score.

In the 84th minute, KC's Chris Henderson scored a beautiful goal. The ball travelled barely above the grass, beating Colorado's Goalkeeper David Kramer, straight into the net.

KC leads 5-0.

The Rapids continue trying to score, but KC is now crowding their box, closing all lanes to their goal.

Final Score:

Kansas City Wizards 5

Colorado Rapids 0
