Colorado Rapids vs Miami Fusion

Colorado Rapids (4 wins, 5 losses, 12 points) tonight hosts Miami Fusion (2 wins, 3 losses, 4 ties, 10 points).

The Rapids have a better starting lineup than their last home games. Returning are starters Jason Bent and Jorge Dely Vales. Joey DiGiamarino is also back as a starter.

Tonight's Referee is Sandra Hunt. Assistant Referees are Tom Bobadilla and David Bragg.

The game started at a high pace, with the Rapids dominating the first 8 minutes.

Beginning with the 9th minute, Miami improved its level of play, making the game more even.

Colorado's Junior Agogo already had 3 'rocket' shots at the Miami goal. Agogo seems to have the hardest shots on the Rapids team.

In the 20th minute, the game remains scoreless. Colorado's Balboa is in full control of the Rapids defense.

In the 23rd minute, Miami took down a Rapids player in the box. However, the Referee did not call a Penalty kick.

Colorado's Jason Bent scored an unassisted goal in the 50th minute. This is Bent's 1st MLS goal.

Colorado Rapids leads 1-0.

Miami's #20, Henry Gutierrez, in the 55th minute, was red carded for bumping the Referee, dropping her to the ground. Gutierrez was charged with violent conduct.

In the 63rd minute, the score remains
Colorado Rapids 1 Miami Fusion 0

Colorado's team, with several of its returning players, has been playing a good game, with good coordinated plays. We can now see the team that Coach 'Mooch' Myernick had put together, before all the injuries.

In the 74rd minute, Miami's Jay Heaps scored on an assist from Diego Serna.

The game is now tied 1-1.

In the 79th minute, Miami's Lassiter beat Colorado's GoalKeeper and scored on an assist from Miami's GoalKeeper, Nick Rimando.

Miami now leads 2-1.

The last minutes of the game were brutal. The Referee ejected Colorado's Balboa on a second yellow card. Players from both teams were fouling each other. The game ended with Miami winning the game 2-1.

FINAL SCORE:

Colorado Rapids 1

Miamia Fusion 2
